How To Get A Royal Runaway Elected As Detroit’s Mayor-Del Shannon

When Her Imperial Highness was in the 4th grade, staring out the window, not paying strict attention to her Latin instruction, she dreamed about running away from The Tatoi Palace to Detroit. She wanted something different, she wanted something Supreme! She had not yet met Miss Ross.

Here was her dream: Del Shannon, The Runaway–the dream of Princess Melita Bonaparte, before she matured & Imperial thoughts entered her mind.

Her Imperial Highness, The Princess Melita Bonaparte, looking for work as a model, no computer skills, did not even know how to wait tables in restaurants, or do the fries in fast food joints. All she wanted was Detroit!

"If the telling of my life is a novel, then it will be a bestseller," proclaims Princess Melita Bonaparte.

PRINCESS MELITA BONAPARTE’S DESPERATE ATTEMPTS TO FIND NON ROYAL WORK! SHE BEGGED THE DE YOUNG MUSEUM TO FEATURE HER AS PART OF THE GIRL WITH A PEARL EARRING PUBLICITY MACHINE, BUT WAS DEEMED TOO MUCH A LIABILITY–“More Suitable for eye-level supermarket reading,” sniffed one high-ranking board member.

“I know I can bring back Detroit, if the people do not mind electing a Royal Runaway for Mayor,” pleads Princess Melita Bonaparte.

“Once I get Detroit back on its feet, then on to the Tatoi Palace.”–Princess Melita Bonaparte, regarding her 4th grade dreams as a Runaway Royal.

“LET ME BRING PEACE THAT DOES NOT HAVE ELEMENTS OF WAR!”-Princess Melita Bonaparte–“Join me in Prosperity for All.”

The Best Work of Art EVER!!!!!! But you have to want it. I want it!

The irony is that this is words about words, so I will keep my words brief. This is a photograph of a post card reproduction of the huge billboard that John & Yoko sponsored many years ago. I keep it at my desk. Back in the mid -1980s-till the early 1990s, many small businesses gave out these free post cards. For me, post cards are like cookies, I never met one I did not like. This all stopped with the digital era. I used to go to the Post Office & get stamps & mail these things to people. It’s strange that governments & bad politicians would actually rather fight than switch. Understand this historical reference comes from an advertisement campaign, that advocated violence, Tareyton Cigarettes, and would have people, mostly women, with eyes that looked like someone had thrown a brick at them. This cigarette company, not even in a subtle way, actually PROMOTED VIOLENCE!

Is is any wonder that the world is such a mess? Well, I still pick up trash, pennies, and fret about the cost of groceries.

Here is the best modern art of the late 20th Century. I just wish people would read it.

Want it, be it! Melita Bonaparte begs for it! We need it--the alternative is really so avoidable, if you think about it.

NAPOLEON ON TOP OF THE WORLD!

Once upon a time, a man name Napoleon Bonaparte had it in his mind to follow the likes of Charlemagne, Julius Caesar, and Alexander the Great. Things did not work out quite as he dreamed. That Nelson man got in the way, and other people had other ideas. Then, there was the weather in Russia & the resulting mud. My curiosity remains unsatisfied, as to why he was (and seems to remain so) such an inspiration for those who joined him. His saga is one that continually mystifies. A man cursed & feared by his enemies & nearly made

an idol by his followers. He did all of this in an era when there was no electronic alignment of zeros & ones to ‘Like’ him. The following was from the heart, so was the fear. He caused action, reactions, and changed the world.

Here is my little tribute to that dream of Unity, without the armies, without the blood being shed. I think he wanted things that way, but it’s tricky to attempt to wrap one’s mind around that of another, especially one gone so long. At any rate, I hope that’s what he wanted. It would be nice to see it happen in a way that no one had to be harmed, and that allowed all of us to win.
