This was news I was hoping not to hear, praying that she’d live through this to astound us again & again. Such was not to be. But what a journey it was. Thank you, Marc Huestis for bringing her here, to the Castro Theatre–it was a wonderful time, one that those who were there will always treasure. Now, she lives on in her work, her art & for those of us who sought that strange something in the world of film that was just a bit over the edge: She never let us down. Viva Karen Black!
The Tribute to Karen Black @ The Castro Theatre in San Francisco was something that will always hold a special place in my heart.
The best tribute is in viewing her body of work, her legacy. The likes of her we’ll not soon see again any time soon.
